The most important attribute about Paratopia is that there is space for discussion and for exchanging ideas regarding the field of the paranormal. The elaboration of ideas and informed opinions are done on Paratopia shows and the forums, though this is often misconstrued as something negative on your show. The presentation of John in the forums as asking “questions” as the source of what you guys deem “Paratopia’s hypocrisy” is false and misleading. Many in the forums (and I am sure in the field in general) have brought up questions regarding the issue of New Agers and what distinguishes them from people who have had experiences (whether alien abduction type ufo sighting or ghostly or whatever) and in those cases no one - to paraphrase from your show – was “thrown away like a piece of garbage.” John even admits to having a few drinks publicly on the forums when he made personal attacks on the hosts which is a fact which is not presented on your. John’s contributions are great to the discussion with regard to his background in the field (a field he admits he hasn’t been a part of in 25 years), but like others it’s not final. Other questions (just as legitimate as the issues raised by John) were raised about John’s own staunch conclusions. John wasn’t the only member elaborating on his views. That the *actual discussion* takes place and lively is positive in a field in which there is pressure for no discussion and no elaboration of experiences, views and opinions (and generally coming from those who have had absurd experiences themselves) except through already floundering mechanisms that the field established is significant in my view. Also just to add – even in debates – things can get heated – especially in an elaboration of views. It’s par for the course. Not every little debate that gets heated should be construed as someone is under “attack”. On your show, the phrase “attacked for questioning” is overused, overstated and misrepresentation of the issues is superfluous.
“You cannot sit there and tell me that some dude is sitting…[snip]” My question is, why not? Why not, when others have also told of their experiences of the strangeness inherent in the “paranormal”? On what basis do you accept/dismiss a person’s experiences no matter how strange and bizarre? How does your show decide these matters? It’s one thing to say you are against a show or a podcast or even a view expressed on a podcast or individual, but it’s another matter entirely when there is no elaboration of what would be a better model or example of how things should proceed.
The hypocrisy that I see is your empty phrase-mongering of making claims without facts, when the entire content of the Examiner article was exactly that. It wasn’t just an opinion, it was a *badly misinformed* opinion of claims without any facts. You wonder why people are upset? Charact. assassination and baseless accusations are passed off as "normal" way of interacting with people when its not.

Jayr - The issue with John is not related to the paratopia Hypocrisy Jeff and I discuss. It was an example of how they react and continue to act when questioned. They toss people aside and belittle them when they don't agree with their world view. I've seen both of them do this many times over the years and its not something we are making up. Our show doesn't decide any matters, however Paratopia think that they do. That fractal stuff Jeff is spouting is a bunch of Richard Hoagland pseudo science.
John has a right to express himself just like you did in you post. I welcome your comments, good or bad. Paratopia or the Paracast does not.

Listen a lot of our fans listen to paratopia as well. They engage in open thought and aren't satisfied with being spool fed whatever the hosts or guests are shilling. When they question, they get banned. Jeff and jer thinks its Jeff and I.
I have good reasons to despise those two. I used to idolize them in a way and then saw who they really were. They are two very ugly people.
And lets make one thing perfectly clear. They started this war. They talk a tremendous amount of shit to a lot of insiders.I know this because they come to me. I have all their emails, their lies about cases and just a bunch of mean hurtful crap.

On what basis do you accept/dismiss a person’s experience? What is the criteria you and your show have worked out? Just that it sounds nonsensical and outrageous? In that sense then I suppose everything needs to be dismissed in the field, because the majority of it, from Kenneth Arnold's sighting to the Hills abduction, to Walton, etc because all those accounts on the surface sounds nonsensical and outrageous. So where do you and your show draw the line? It's one thing to say/naysay, but its another to justify why you say/naysay.

Junior we know you are one of Fruitopia's biggest fans you even called in and cried about the show in your feminine voice during their show that cussed and trashed COM. Fruitopia did the same thing in their hit piece that you claim we are doing yet you're so hellbent on kissing their asses you agree with everything they say. Question them sometime and they'll exile you just like they did their former friend Ratcliff and just like they did Pritchett. When you stop kissing Fruitopias ass they go all waaaaaaa waaaaaaa on you and get butt hurt. You take care now Junior. Go listen to Michael Jackson records with Vaeni and work on your moonwalk steps.

Prime example of what I have been talking about. Heap a bunch of nonsensical statements to someone or about someone and then sit back while people just lap it up. It's a disservice really.

The solution is direct contact and communication during the shows as it happens.
The in depth conversations can't happen without interaction. The format of statement then rebuttal and rinse repeat is flawed both during radio/podcasts and online.
If your asking for an example of hypocrisy look no further than the jacobs/hopkins or the Rainey episodes. Whereas mabus/mind do "hit pieces" they on the other hand don't? You are a smart, informed and intelligent man, don't let being a fan (of which there is nothing wrong with being) lead to equally misinformed opinions from a point of view that doesn't align with your own.

In depth discussions can't take place without elaboration of views. An elaboration of views can't happen without in depth fact finding which considers the views of others disregarding the pressure to rely on speculation, rumor, and intrigue as actual content for the discussion. (Hint: This means actually taking stands on issues, which runs contrary to the passive non-role stance of Weddle when he elaborated "Our show doesn't decide any matters") Of course any "in depth" discussion or conversation is useless if there is no direction or aim for why a discussion is happening in the first place. Furthermore, I find it interesting that the response to having discussion is limited to a narrow format, as opposed to a broad all encompassing format. That is, the free exchange of ideas and expression thrives where broad forums are ensured, not restricted to one particular form.
